Coverage we write for Florida clients
- Personal auto insurance: every driver and vehicle in the household, including teen drivers, tickets and lapses.
- Homeowners, condo, renters and landlord insurance.
- Commercial auto and fleet insurance, including hired and non-owned auto.
- Contractor general liability, workers' compensation and tools and equipment.
- Contractor license and surety bonds, plus umbrella and excess liability.
Florida auto insurance requirements
Florida requires $10,000 personal injury protection (PIP) and $10,000 property damage liability (PDL); bodily injury liability is not required for standard private passenger vehicles. PIP remains mandatory; repeal bills in the 2025 and 2026 sessions did not pass.
State minimums are a legal floor, not a recommendation. One serious accident can exceed them, so we quote higher limits side by side.
Workers' compensation in Florida
Construction employers with one or more employees must carry workers' compensation; non-construction employers need it at four or more employees, and agricultural employers at six regular or twelve seasonal employees.

Contractors in Florida
The Construction Industry Licensing Board under the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) certifies contractors to work statewide or registers locally licensed contractors; there is no general license bond, though a designated Financially Responsible Officer must carry a $100,000 bond.
We write general liability, workers' comp, commercial auto and equipment coverage, issue certificates and additional insured endorsements, and place license and contract bonds. Start with the Contractor General Liability Supplemental.
Homeowners insurance in Florida
Florida homeowners policies carry a separate hurricane deductible, typically offered at $500, 2%, 5%, or 10% of the dwelling limit, applied on a calendar-year basis; Citizens Property Insurance Corporation is the state-created insurer of last resort.
Use the Homeowners Application or, for rentals, the Landlord / Rental Property Application.
